Difference Between Xenon Lamp and UV Aging Chambers
With the rapid development of modern industry, product durability, aging resistance, and climate endurance testing have become increasingly important. Aging test chambers are widely used by industrial manufacturers and environmental testing labs to simulate the effects of various environmental conditions on products, providing a reliable means to evaluate aging resistance, improve production quality, and enhance product performance.

Xenon Lamp Aging Chambers use xenon arc lamps to realistically reproduce the full-spectrum sunlight. By accurately simulating months or even years of outdoor exposure, they assess the weathering and aging resistance of products.
UV Aging Chambers use fluorescent UV lamps for testing, offering higher stability and more reproducible results. They are widely applied for accelerated aging testing.
Key Differences
While both xenon lamp and UV aging chambers can effectively simulate temperature, humidity, light, and water spray tests, UV aging chambers additionally replicate critical shortwave UV radiation, accurately reproducing sunlight-induced physical damage such as: fading, gloss loss, chalking, cracking, crazing, blurring, blistering, embrittlement, strength reduction, and oxidation.
Moreover, they comply with different standards: xenon lamp aging chambers follow GB/T 16422.2, while UV aging chambers follow GB/T 16422.3.
