Introduction

The Flash Point Closed Cup Tester G-309 is designed in accordance with the  National Standard of the People’s Republic of China – Determination of Flash  Point by Pensky-Martens Closed Cup Method (GB/T 261-2021), as well as ASTM D93  and ISO 2719-2002 standards. It adopts microprocessor control technology  combined with a full-color touchscreen LCD system. The instrument is used to  determine the flash point of liquid samples.

An additional ASTM D93 testing procedure is included for users requiring  compliance with U.S. standards. This instrument is not suitable for  low-temperature flash point testing. For low-temperature applications, model  309A intelligent low-temperature closed cup flash point tester is  recommended.

The instrument features a Chinese-English bilingual menu and a full-color GUI  touchscreen interface, providing intuitive display and simple operation. Users  can quickly become familiar with operation without extensive reference to the  manual. It offers fast testing speed, wide measurement range, good  repeatability, and high accuracy.

The entire testing process is fully automatic. Parameters such as temperature  and time are displayed on the LCD screen along with real-time working status and  operation prompts. Users only need to preset the expected flash point or initial  temperature. The instrument will automatically perform heating at a specified  rate, ignition, flash point detection, lifting of the detection device, air  cooling, and result printing.

It eliminates complex manual operations. The instrument supports both  automatic atmospheric pressure detection and manual input. When automatic  detection is active, manual input is disabled, and vice versa. Test results are  automatically corrected according to atmospheric pressure variations.

The instrument includes powerful data processing capabilities, capable of  storing up to 100 historical test results for review and printing. Preset  parameters before shutdown are also retained. It features a built-in

perpetual calendar displaying year, month, day, hour, minute, and second. An  optional RS232 interface is available for computer management (with  software).

Instrument Structure:

The instrument features an integrated design with a compact structure, light  weight, and small footprint. It incorporates a large-scale control core along  with power supply circuits, interface circuits, clock circuits, driving  circuits, and LCD display system. Key components include a heating furnace, lid  opening mechanism, detection system, gas control valve, and lifting mechanism,  enabling full automation of the testing process.

FAQ

1. What is this product?

The Flash Point Closed Cup Tester G-309 is an automatic laboratory instrument designed to determine the flash point of liquid samples using the Pensky-Martens closed cup method. It complies with GB/T 261-2021, ASTM D93, and ISO 2719-2002 standards.

2. What is this product used for?

It is used to measure the flash point of petroleum products and other flammable liquids such as transformer oil, diesel, lubricating oil, and similar substances. It is widely applied in quality control, safety inspection, and laboratory analysis.

3. What is the working principle of this product?

The instrument heats the sample at a controlled rate inside a closed cup. At specified temperature intervals, an ignition source is introduced. When a flash occurs, the system detects it automatically and records the corresponding temperature as the flash point. The entire process, including heating, ignition, detection, and result processing, is fully automated and corrected based on atmospheric pressure.

4. Why is this product important?

Flash point is a critical safety parameter for flammable liquids. This instrument provides accurate and repeatable measurements, helping users ensure product safety, comply with international standards, and maintain consistent quality control in production and testing environments.

5. What industries is this product suitable for?

It is suitable for industries such as petroleum and petrochemical, power generation, chemical manufacturing, lubrication oil production, quality inspection institutions, and research laboratories.
