Introduction

A Geotextile Dynamic Puncture Tester is a specialized instrument used to assess a geotextile’s resistance to impact and perforation by a falling object, simulating real-world installation conditions (e.g., aggregate dropping onto a geotextile during road construction).

This test typically involves dropping a standardized steel cone or plunger from a controlled height onto a clamped geotextile specimen. The instrument then measures the resulting hole diameter or the energy absorbed by the material. This dynamic measurement is crucial for evaluating the geotextile’s ability to withstand localized, sudden stresses and potential damage during its placement, ensuring its protective and reinforcement functions are maintained in civil engineering applications. It often complies with standards like ISO 13433.

Scope of application:

It is used to test the penetration ability of various geomaterials to resist steel cones falling from a fixed height, so as to characterize the rock fall resistance performance of ten geomaterials.

Meet the standard:

JTG E50.

ISO/DIS 13433.

GB/T17630

Technical parameters:

1. clamping ring diameter :150+0.5(mm)

2. Distance from steel cone tip to sample :500+2(mm)

3. stainless steel cone: cone Angle :45°, total mass :1000+5(g)

4. measuring cone mass :600+5(g)

5. overall size :435x575x1600(mm)
