Introduction

The yellowing resistance test chamber, a key testing device in the field of materials science, accurately evaluates the color stability of materials during long-term use by simulating sunlight ultraviolet radiation and high-temperature environments. This equipment is widely used in industries such as plastics, rubber, textiles, coatings, and electronic products, providing a scientific basis for product quality control and material development.

Applications

Test method for determining the yellowing resistance of light and white products, such as upper and bottom materials for shoes, to approximate sunlight and ultraviolet light. According to the light-colored or white products, the phenomenon of yellow color is easy to occur in the natural sunlight for a long time, with the solar lamp and heating temperature control device to simulate the natural environment, within the specified time, observe the change of the surface color of the sample, determine the degree of discoloration of the sample, so as to determine the ability of the material to resist yellow under sunlight radiation.

Features

This machine is designed to promote the metamorphism of vulcanized materials and then calculate the rate of change, stretching, and elongation. It also simulates the effects of ultraviolet radiation and heat from the sun. Samples are placed on the machine’s table and subjected to UV radiation and temperature. Over time, the degree of yellowing and discoloration of the samples is observed, and the grayscale values can be used as a reference to determine the extent of yellowing. This is relevant to products that are exposed to radiation or sunlight during transportation.

The machine addresses the impact of color changes in the container environment on product quality.  Using a 300W UV lamp, the experiment can be completed in a shorter time. This machine can be used as a basic yellowing resistance testing machine, an aging testing machine, and an oven, demonstrating its multi-functional capabilities. The machine is equipped with a forced hot air circulation control system to ensure uniform temperature distribution.

Accessoriess

Stainless steel test panel, high-temperature resistant observation window, single-layer test rack assembly, operating manual + certificate of conformity, power cord, fuse.

Maintenance Information

Yellowing resistance test chambers require regular maintenance to ensure accurate UV and thermal aging results. Key tasks include replacing UV bulbs every 1.000 hours, cleaning the chamber interior and air condenser coils, checking for UV leakage, and calibrating the digital controller annually.

FAQ

(1) What is this product?

A Yellowing Resistance Test Chamber is an accelerated aging device used to evaluate how quickly materials—especially white or light-colored items—discolor (turn yellow) when exposed to UV light and heat.

(2) What is this product used for?

A yellowing resistance test chamber is a specialized laboratory instrument designed to simulate sunlight (UV radiation), heat, and atmospheric exposure to evaluate how quickly materials turn yellow, fade, or degrade.

(3) How does this product work?

A yellowing resistance test chamber accelerates material aging to evaluate color stability by exposing samples to controlled ultraviolet (UV) light and high temperatures.

(4) Why is this product important?

A yellowing resistance test chamber simulates accelerated environmental aging (UV light, high temperature, humidity) to evaluate how quickly materials like plastics, textiles, and coatings turn yellow.

(5) Which industries is this product suitable for?

A yellowing resistance test chamber simulates sunlight (UV radiation) and thermal aging to evaluate color stability in materials prone to discoloration.
