Introduction

The HD2 (Heavy-Duty) Pneumatic Foam Fatigue Testing Machine is a single-station testing machine equipped with an oversized pressure plate. In standard configuration, the machine cyclically applies a constant load; a constant displacement loading mode is also available as an option.

Standards:

It meets the requirements of ASTM D 3574. “Constant Force Impact Dynamic Fatigue Testing,” section.

Features:

1. A PLC-based controller with a color touchscreen display works in conjunction with load cells and signal conditioners ranging from 500 to 2.500 psi, providing a constant cycle rate of 70 cycles per minute (other sizes, rates, and peak forces are available upon request).

2. I3 – An NFPA-compliant cylinder connects to the desired 250 mm indenter, compressing the foam onto a vented grid beneath the foam test sample. This testing machine is designed for testing standard square foam samples.

3. I5 – An NFPA-compliant cylinder connects to the required 15″ x 15″ indenter, which compresses the foam onto the vented grid beneath the foam test sample. This tester is designed for testing standard square foam samples.

4. A variety of indenters are available; the standard indenter conforms to ASTM D3574.

5. Additionally, this tester offers a gantry configuration, enabling testing of any location on mattresses (or other large foam surfaces), ranging in size from single to king-size beds.
