Protective clothing heat conduction tester
Category:Other
Introduction
Product Overview
The Protective Clothing Heat Conduction Tester is designed to evaluate the thermal protection performance of protective textiles and garments under combined convective and radiant heat exposure. By measuring the transmitted heat over time and comparing it to the Stoll curve, the tester determines the Thermal Protective Performance (TPP) of single-layer or multi-layer materials.
It is widely used in firefighter clothing, industrial protective wear, military and rescue gear, and other high-heat-resistance textiles. Note: Not suitable for non-flammable fabrics or materials prone to melting/dripping under high temperatures.
Application Fields
Firefighter turnout gear and helmets
Heat-resistant industrial protective clothing

FAQ
1. What materials can be tested with this instrument?
It is suitable for single-layer and multi-layer protective textiles used in firefighter suits, industrial heat-resistant clothing, and other high-performance flame-retardant materials.
2. How is Thermal Protective Performance (TPP) measured?
The instrument exposes the sample to combined convective and radiant heat. The transmitted heat is recorded, and the TPP is calculated by intersecting the heat flux-time curve with the Stoll curve.
3. Does this tester meet international standards?
Yes. It complies with GB, GA, NFPA, ISO standards relevant to thermal protection performance testing.
4. How accurate is the system?
The copper calorimeter probe offers ±0.1°C resolution, with automated TPP calculation and intelligent temperature compensation to ensure high accuracy.
5. What safety measures are included?
The instrument includes a water-cooled thermal shield, high-voltage interlock, and emergency shutdown protocol to protect operators and equipment.
