Revolutionizing Tank Cleaning: Advanced Automated Solutions for Sustainable Operations

Blog 30 6 月, 2025

Traditional tank cleaning methods often involve hazardous manual entry, leading to safety risks, prolonged downtime, and significant waste generation. Recognizing these challenges, we’ve pioneered a cutting-edge tank cleaning machine cleaning process that redefines efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility. This advanced, automated, and fully enclosed physical cleaning technology utilizes specialized jet cleaning machines to precisely spray tailored cleaning media, ensuring unparalleled results while maximizing resource recovery.

Our innovative approach meticulously removes condensation and recovers sludge and valuable hydrocarbons from the cleaned surface. This results in economic benefits that are truly transformative, with over 95% of hydrocarbons in the sediment being recovered. The process boasts superior safety, exceptional cleaning efficacy, high efficiency, and a robust commitment to environmental protection. It’s the ideal solution for various types of above-ground storage tanks, ranging in capacity from 100 cubic meters to an impressive 200.000 cubic meters, handling crude oil, refined oil (including gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, lubricating oil), and diverse chemical liquefaction products.

Core Technologies and Proprietary Methodologies

Our tank cleaning process integrates several core technologies and leverages original methodologies to deliver its exceptional performance:

1. Intelligent Multi-Stage Residual Oil Transfer & Recovery

Beyond simply transferring residual oil, our system employs an Intelligent Multi-Stage Residual Oil Transfer (IMSROT) protocol. This proprietary method utilizes a series of progressively finer filtration and separation units directly integrated with the cleaning machine’s recovery lines.

Advanced Viscosity Sensing: Real-time sensors within the cleaning head detect the viscosity and composition of the recovered fluid, dynamically adjusting pump speeds and flow paths to optimize transfer efficiency for various hydrocarbon densities.

Vortex-Assisted Scavenging (VAS): Our unique jetting patterns create localized vortexes within the tank’s lower reaches, actively pulling residual oil and soft sludge towards the recovery points, minimizing passive drainage time.

Hyper-Decantation Modules: Post-recovery, specialized Hyper-Decantation Modules (HDM) use enhanced gravity separation aided by micro-flocculation (for heavier crude oil sludges) to accelerate the separation of recoverable oil from water or non-recoverable solids. This ensures that the residual oil transferred to designated tanks is of higher purity and maximized volume.

2. Dynamic Inert Gas Injection System (DIGIS)

Safety is paramount. Our Dynamic Inert Gas Injection System (DIGIS) goes beyond standard inerting by actively managing the tank’s atmosphere throughout the cleaning cycle.

Real-time Oxygen Monitoring & Adaptive Flow: Integrated oxygen sensors continuously monitor the tank’s internal atmosphere. The DIGIS dynamically adjusts the flow rate of inert gas (primarily nitrogen and carbon dioxide) to maintain an optimal safety margin, ensuring oxygen levels remain well below explosive limits.

Stratified Purging Technology: Instead of simple bulk injection, DIGIS employs a Stratified Purging Technology (SPT). Inert gas is introduced at multiple strategic points and levels within the tank, creating a controlled, stratified atmosphere that efficiently displaces flammable vapors while minimizing inert gas consumption. This targeted injection ensures safe and reliable construction by preventing pockets of combustible gas.

Integrated Pressure Relief & Control: A sophisticated pressure relief and control system works in tandem with DIGIS to prevent over-pressurization or vacuum conditions during the cleaning process, maintaining tank integrity.

3. Optimized Cleaning Medium Recirculation & Recovery

Our process is highly adaptable, utilizing tailored cleaning media for maximum effectiveness and recovery.

Same-Kind-of-Oil Cleaning with Enhanced Dissolution & Filtration: When using the same medium as the stored oil, our Enhanced Dissolution & Filtration (EDF) methodology comes into play. The washing machine’s jets are engineered with adjustable pulsation frequencies to create optimal shear forces for stirring, crushing, and dissolving sediment. Recovered liquid is then routed through a multi-stage micro-filtration and coalescing system that actively separates and recovers active hydrocarbon ingredients, ensuring purity for re-injection or transfer. This significantly boosts the recovery rate of valuable product from the tank deposits.

Closed-Loop Warm Water Cleaning with Advanced Oil-Water Separation (AOWS): For warm water cleaning, our system incorporates an Advanced Oil-Water Separation (AOWS) equipment. This proprietary unit not only separates the oil-water mixture but also utilizes membrane-assisted ultrafiltration and thermal phase separation techniques. The separated water is recycled in a closed loop, drastically reducing fresh water consumption. The highly purified, separated oil is then efficiently transferred to the owner’s designated tank, minimizing environmental impact and maximizing recovery.

Automated Slag Clearing & Segregation (ASCS): After liquid phases are managed, our Automated Slag Clearing & Segregation (ASCS) system addresses residual inorganic materials like sediment and rust. Remote-controlled robotic crawlers equipped with specialized suction and scraping tools enter the tank to clean these tenacious deposits. These materials are then transferred via an enclosed conveyor system to a dedicated segregation unit that can differentiate and store materials at the designated place according to the owner’s request, streamlining waste management and potentially allowing for further material processing or disposal in an environmentally compliant manner.

By integrating these proprietary technologies and methodologies, our tank cleaning machine offers a superior, comprehensive, and sustainable solution for industrial tank maintenance, setting new benchmarks for safety, economic return, and environmental stewardship.
