Testing Principle

The safety harness test dummy simulates human weight, size, and joint attachment points to perform stress tests on harness systems under dynamic and static conditions. During the experiment, the dummy is hung on the test frame and subjected to predetermined loads or fall forces. This tests the harness’s load capacity, slip behavior, and overall structural reliability. Sensors monitor force in real time, and when preset values are reached or damage occurs, the experiment is recorded and can automatically stop to ensure safety.

Full Harness Dynamic Load Connection

According to standard requirements, wear the fall suspension harness on the rubber dummy.

Connect the test frame upper hook to the dummy’s lifting ring No. 1; after raising to a certain height, connect the sensor hook to the dummy’s harness buckle. Pass the flat lifting strap through ring No. 1.

Complete the experiment according to the steps in the harness dynamic load and static load product manual.

Harness Overall Static Load Connection

For guardrail harness testing, fix lifting rings No. 5 and No. 6 to the corresponding hooks on the test frame base using U-shaped shackles.

For area-restricted harness testing, fix lifting rings No. 2, No. 3, and No. 7 to corresponding hooks on the test frame base via U-shaped shackles.

For fall suspension harness testing, fix lifting ring No. 4 to the middle hook on the test frame base using U-shaped shackles and steel wire rope.

Refer to the product manual for specific steps in dynamic and static load testing.

Safety Precautions

The dummy’s surface is made of rubber; after testing, it is recommended to store the dummy indoors.

During testing, once the dummy is off the ground or static test shows force readings, personnel must stay at least 3 meters away from the frame to prevent injury from falling objects. Entry into the test frame area should only occur one minute after test completion.
