Introduction

The UV Curing Tunnel Oven (commonly known as a UV Tunnel Oven) is a continuous industrial drying and curing equipment that uses ultraviolet (UV) light sources to instantly cure photosensitive materials, such as UV adhesives, UV inks, and UV coatings, within seconds. The materials are transported into the tunnel-shaped irradiation area through a conveyor system. After absorbing ultraviolet light, the photoinitiators inside the materials undergo a chemical cross-linking reaction, allowing the materials to rapidly transform from a liquid state into a solid state.

Application

The UV Tunnel Oven is widely used in automated production lines requiring high output and continuous processing.

Microelectronics and PCBA Industry

Used for chip packaging of electronic components such as smartphones and smart wearable devices, red glue curing, and conformal coating curing on circuit boards.

Optical and Optoelectronic Industry

Used for camera module assembly, LED encapsulation, optical fiber coating, and lens bonding.

Printing and Packaging Industry

Used for instant surface drying of UV inks in screen printing, rotary label printing, and inkjet printing processes.

Industrial Coating and Building Materials Industry

Used for UV coating curing on plastic housings, wooden furniture, and automotive components.

Medical Device Industry

Used for rapid bonding of medical consumables such as syringe needles, catheters, and other components with UV-curable adhesives.

Features

Instant Curing and High Efficiency

Initial curing can be achieved within 1–5 seconds, significantly shortening production cycles and reducing energy consumption compared with conventional thermal drying ovens.

Continuous Conveyor Operation with High Productivity

Adopts a conveyor-based continuous input and output system, allowing seamless integration with upstream and downstream automated production processes.

Room Temperature / Low-Heat Curing

Especially suitable for heat-sensitive substrates such as plastics, films, and electronic components.

Highly Controllable Parameters

Conveyor speed and UV irradiation intensity (including multi-stage light intensity adjustment) can be precisely controlled through digital systems.

Environmentally Friendly

UV curing materials are generally 100% solvent-free, and the curing process produces no VOC emissions, wastewater, or solid waste.

Standards

The equipment design and manufacturing should comply with the following domestic and international safety and technical standards:

Mechanical and Electrical Safety

In China, the equipment generally follows:

GB/T 15706 — Safety of machinery: General principles for design

GB 5226.1 — Electrical equipment of machines, Part 1: General requirements

UV Protection and Occupational Health

Complies with:

GBZ 2.1 — Occupational exposure limits for hazardous factors in the workplace (physical factors)

Ensures that operators are protected from excessive ultraviolet radiation and ozone exposure.

Process Control Standards

The equipment design references industry standards for UV LED or traditional mercury lamp radiation intensity measurement. Dedicated UV energy meters are used for factory calibration and verification.

International Certifications

Export equipment is generally required to comply with:

CE Certification (including Low Voltage Directive LVD and Electromagnetic Compatibility EMC requirements)

RoHS Environmental Protection Directive
